I Just Watched...The Social Network

I just watched The Social Network and well this isn't the first time i've seen The Social Network, in fact it's around the third or the forth. In case you have been living in a hole on Mars, The Social Network tells the backstory of how everyones website; Facebook, was founded, conceived, stolen and branded to become the greatest thing since sliced bread. The movie along with the site, was extremely well received and actually got eight oscar nods including best picture, but is it as good as everyone says it is? Find out after the break!

The Social Network is very very good. Usually I leave judgements like this until the end of my reviews but seriously, at this point in time everyone should of heard or seen how amazing this film is, so this makes my review kind of redundant. Instead i'd like to discuss what I feel is the most under appreciated component of this and every good film; absolutely incredible pacing.

This could of been a very boring movie, however the way it's cut  keeps you re energized every couple minutes so that the two hour film actually doesn't seem that long. Seriously at its core, this is a dramatized 120 minutes expose of how Mark Zuckerberg used his natural skills and some shady business practices managed to create the largest and most successful social networking site. It's about two years of code and a couple large lawsuits boiled down. Normally this would be horrendous to watch, but watching it you don't feel like you're watching it. Every couple minutes the various time lines switch so that you grow and learn in a very natural way.

Although Mark is portrayed as the biggest asshole in the word, in his situation I may of made several of the same decisions he did, except I would of probs sold out a lot earlier...just imagine what that would of done to Facebook. Lastly a little dig at the oscars coming up I hope that the social network wins best picture because it deserves it. The end now go tell everyone about this review on Bookface.
