Well would you look at this a new royal marriage is over. That's right I was up at 530 to watch people arrive at Westminster Abby in London England for the Marriage of the future king and queen of England. Lots of people have asked me why I would get up so early to just see a wedding? Several reasons in fact answer this question.
The last time there was a public gathering of European Royals at this magnitude was Williams mothers wedding nearly 30 years ago. It united a commonwealth and was viewed by millions. I actually am really interested in the European Royal families how they can track their family tree back hundreds of years with such precision it's also really cool tracking all the lines and how all the upper league of aristocrats are all related from all the swapping of members of houses. Its like the ultimate huge ass family.
Another reason why the Royal families are cool specifically the Windsors of England is that they are all insanely rich yet choose to do a tonne of charitable work and sponsor many many great programs. So to be able to watch along with 2 billion people as the next chapter of that epic 800 year story is begun is kinda cool.
All in all it was an impressive show with everything going off without a hitch. If you didn't watch it id suggest watching some of the cool moments including the streets. Britain's had a day off and millions came out to see the procession from Buckingham palace to the abby. with so many people the amount of chaos that could of happened was staggering but in fact there was not a single arrest or disturbance. I challenge anyone who says this was stupid to find another example of that.
Well im heading back to windsor for the weekend to oversee my room mate switch should be interesting. so i bid you happy friday

Hey guys I just found the perfect easter present for everyone! Yeah thats right i found 30 odd Disney movies that for whatever reason are up in full on Youtube. It's easter friday. Which for me means heading home to London to celebrate with the family and enjoy as much chocolate as I can get my hands on. Schools done, all my films are done so right at this moment the only feeling I have is surreal peace of mind and a blank slate. I can not tell you how exciting it is to stare at a blank sheet of paper ready to infused with a creative war between the imaginative and the practical. One element im thinking of exploring is Dogma 95, which is a set of film rules that limit action, shots and structure in a way that the only way for a successful film is a stellar story.

Todays question of the day has to deal with China. They have the fastest growing economy and population and throughout a day you would be very hard pressed to not use an item that was made in China. The larger their economy becomes the larger their global influence becomes to the point where we might some day all have to learn Chinese in school. Last night while enjoying some alcoholic beverages some extremely intellectual conversations came up and one of the major ones that was of particular interest was how to enable the Western World economies to overtake the Chinese one.

It's a real kick in ones balls to have to admit you failed. There have been a lot of times that things in the end just kinda work out for me when they really should not of and there have been plenty of times that I've succeeded beyond my wildest dreams, and there have been other times like this where i have failed. As a student film maker studying to become a full time film maker its not marks that bother me its my reputation as a film maker as represented through my creative projects. My demo reel is my resume in this industry and when you complete a project and nothing can go in. Its a real kick in the balls.

Check out this ten minute video on the preproduction of the Hobit! As a student in film the end goal of all this education is to end up making movies with a budget of 300 million dollars so seeing some of the people on the technological edge is very exciting. plus its lotr :D
well today i had my exam in cinematography and let me say this: i have never come out of a exam more pleased. This exam was expected to be super difficult but in fact turned out to be an easy joke. Every question was easy to answer or easy to guess. so in exchange im sharing they internet gem!

I just watched Winnebago Man, a hilarious doc following the re discovery of the angriest man in the world Jack Rebney. I laughed my ass off at the original clips of him from the 70s but was this feature doc able to rub my funny bone the same way? Find out after the break!
Well ladies and gentlemen. the projects are almost over which means that it's now time for exams to begin! If you are like me in a post secondary institution then I don't need to tell you that the next couple weeks are going to be filled with hours spent cramming in an entire semesters worth of content into your brain.
Well over the past couple weeks ive spent many twenty minute segments re watching the hit show Arrested Development. I used to love this show back when it aired on CBC and still continue to love it. If you have never seen or heard of this show, ill sum it up. Basically its one of the most well written comedies which like Firefly failed to catch on with viewers successfully until they were off the air. Both happen to be from fox and both were in the wrong time slots at the wrong time. Arrested development has a amazing cast, famous guest stars and an amazing script; it's a treat and is on Netflix so everyone should at least watch a couple episodes. :D

Alright so last night coming back from downtown me and my friend hailed down a cab to get to my place. Little did we know that it would be a crazy ten minutes filled with thrills chills and spills and to find out what happened just click after the break!
Alright been a long time since ive been able to sit down and collect my thoughts. Been a constant flurry of sets and shots and lights, cameras, fast food, long hours and confined spaces. Most of the the last two weeks have been in the same small apartment in downtown windsor, in fact, the last three productions I've crewed on have been in these small rooms and I can completely say that I'm sick and tired of these rooms. Luckily today was the last day of that :D
