We're going heavy with the mother earth to France

Well its been February for a week or so, and several albums have been getting high amounts of plays in itunes which is my criteria for Album of the Month. Ive decided to go with an oldie but a goodie; The Way of All Flesh by Gojira.

Unlike last months album of the month this cd is as heavy and bone shattering as you can get, but with an environmental injection. In case you haven't heard of Gojira they are a french environmental themed metal band without an official genre because they so well blend so many different genres that to label them of something would always be wrong. The label on Last.fm is progressive death metal, so death metal with a creative soul I guess that can be a strong jumping off point for those interested in classifying them.

The way of all flesh is their forth cd and when I first heard it actually I hated it. To me it seemed slightly over produced...but i kept listening because like all good candies it takes time to get to the creamy centre. Boy was I right this song has sorrowful lows and screaming highs along with disgusting chugs all wrapped in a message that we aught to protect the planet  and treat her right. What could be wrong with that.
